VISIT US (KID'S EDITION)

After we review the application, we will contact you to schedule your student’s visit. The type of visit will depend on the grade you are applying for.

  • Pre-K 3 and 4: A Visit (informal meeting)
    • For incoming Pre-K 3 and 4 year olds, we will schedule a time for you to bring your child to the academy to meet the Principal and/or Director of Admissions and Teacher.
  • Kindergarten: An Assessment
    • A 30-minute assessment of student readiness for Kindergarten. An assessment evaluates your child’s early learning skills, e.g. letters, numbers, shapes, etc.
  •  Grades 1-8: A Shadow Day
    • Your child will shadow at their grade level for the morning (8-12 PM) and participate with the class, so both your child and our faculty and staff can gain an understanding if ASCA is a good fit.

step Three: registration

The Principal will review all of the application material. Notice of acceptance will be sent via email. Upon acceptance, your family will schedule a meeting to complete enrollment. To hold your child's place at ASCA, there is a registration fee (nonrefundable):

  • $150 for 1 student
  • $175 for 2 or more

The documents required to complete enrollment are:

  • Health Records: Physical & Vaccines (Health records must be dated on or after September 1, 2024)
  • Emergency/Medical/Dismissal Form
  • Tuition Agreement (copy provided to parents)

At ASCA, we carefully review each applicant’s records for Grades PreK–8 to ensure our programs are the right fit for their educational needs. All new students are conditionally accepted and begin with a trial period to help them adjust socially and academically. During this time, we partner with families to ensure a smooth transition and the best possible experience for each child.

step four: financial Aid

To expand educational opportunities for families with limited financial resources, ASCA provides various financial aid opportunities for grades Pre-K to 8th. An application is required for each form of tuition assistance. Assistance is on a year-by-year basis. All funding is private, and tuition assistance is based on the generosity of various organizations and private donors each year.

Please see our TUITION, FEES & FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE for more information. We invite you to contact the Admissions Office at(203) 777-5352or at[email protected].netwith any questions.
