catholic faith formation; student praying

As a Catholic school, Jesus is our primary teacher. All students learn the basic tenets of our Catholic faith as well as experience faith in action through service projects, participation in the sacraments, school liturgies, Catholic social teachings, etc. Students learn that our Catholic faith is a lived experience. All faiths are welcome at All Saints Catholic Academy. Our community is one where different faiths and cultures will grow in respect and appreciation for one another.

Liturgy

Our entire school community gathers for Mass once a month, in addition to celebrating on Holy Days of Obligation, e.g. Mass of the Holy Spirit, Feast of Guardian Angels, Thanksgiving Liturgy.

Sacraments

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered to the school community at various times throughout the liturgical year. Students can prepare for and receive Sacraments in partnership with the parish, Blessed Michael McGivney Parish. Instruction for the First Sacraments (First Penance and First Holy Communion) is provided to 2nd Grade students by their classroom teacher during school hours, in collaboration with the parish religious education program (CCD). Students in all grades may request age appropriate sacraments. The parish and the school work together to provide the needed formation.

Prayer

Prayer is the foundation of our day at All Saints Catholic Academy (ASCA). The school day begins and ends with unifying, school-wide prayer, and throughout the day. Students also engage in prayer within their individual classes, ensuring that spiritual reflection is central to all learning and activity. Through prayer, students develop a personal relationship with Jesus.

religious education

The gospel values are rooted in all aspects of our school day. Students at all levels participate in religion class that begins in the younger grades with the primary knowledge that they are loved by God unconditionally. As students grow, they learn the tenets of our Catholic faith growin in catechetical knowledge and developing a strong moral foundation rooted in the gospel.
