Weather-Related Closings and Early Dismissals
To ensure everyone is prepared for potential school closings and early dismissals, please review the following important procedures.
Please do not call the school office for this information.
How We Announce Closings & Delays:
Follow New Haven Public Schools: All Saints Catholic Academy (ASCA) follows New Haven Public Schools for all weather-related closings, delays, and early dismissals.
Alert System: We will notify you immediately via Class Dojo (text and email) using the contact information you provided at registration.
Media: Closings will also be listed on WTWH.
If you hear or see that New Haven Public Schools are delayed or closed, ASCA will also be delayed or closed.
Delay & Closing Procedures
1. Delayed Opening: If there is a delayed opening, school will begin:
1-hour delay → Doors open at 8:00 a.m.
1.5-hour delay → Doors open at 8:30 a.m.
2-hour delay → Doors open at 9:00 a.m.
Please note: There is we do have morning care on delayed opening days.
2. School Cancellation: If New Haven Public Schools are closed due to weather, ASCA is also closed. When school is cancelled, all daytime and evening events are cancelled as well.
3. Emergency Early Dismissal: If inclement weather is predicted or occurs during the school day, please monitor media stations (like CT News Channel 12), Class Dojo and FACTS for early dismissal announcements. In the event of an unplanned early dismissal, a school-wide parent alert will be sent; we will also notify via email and Class Dojo. All after-school programs, including KidCare, are cancelled.
